GAAEC's Young Atlanticists: Stavros Stavroulakis, Marianna Fyrippi and Akis Georgiou.

The Greek delegation of participants in the Young Atlanticists Summit in Bucharest, together with their young colleagues from F.Y.R.O.M., have engaged in a fruitful and remarkable discussion concerning the F.Y.R.O.M name issue, immediately after the decision of the NATO Summit Leaders concerning the enlargement of the Alliance.

Both parties have agreed upon a very interesting “Joint Statement” of mutual understanding on the Name Issue.

According to the friendly and harmonious environment lived in the Young Atlanticist Summit, the Greek Delegation invited young students from Kabul, Afghanistan, to join GAAEC’s Educational programs, IIPES, Kernels of Our Future and EMJI. Therefore, after agreement of the Board of GAAEC, it was decided to offer 5 Fellowships to the Afghani Delegation.

This invitation was warmly received by the Afghani Delegation and even received complements from the President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai.
