Young Political Leaders

The Greek Association for the Atlantic and European Cooperation (GAAEC) aims at strengthening the relations between countries, works through the networks of international NGOs to which it belongs and takes part in the international exchange program of the Young Political Leaders. This is an organization that conducts bipartisan international exchanges, enabling emerging leaders (aged 25 to 40) to experience firsthand the political and cultural dynamics of other countries.

The Greek delegates are chosen annually after high competition, applying from all over the country by the Board of GAAEC.

Since the launch of the program more then 200 young promising leaders have participated in the exchanges, gaining valuable experiences on the field of politics.

The exchanges are intensive two-week study programs conducted in conjunction with GAAEC’s counterpart organizations in every region of the world. During the program, delegates engage in candid dialogue with senior government and political officials, industry executives and community leaders on a wide range of political, cultural and economic issues. What makes this program unique is the opportunity it provides to these young rising leaders to gain experience in international affairs by exposing them to different cultures and ways of thinking.

Evaluations after the programs show that it is effective in promoting the objectives of the international community.
