The bureau of GAAEC/Youth consists of:

> Secretary General Mr. Akis (Panagiotis) GEORGIOU, last year's student at University of Patras in Electrical Engineering and                           Computer Science. Head of GAAEC/Youth in Bucharest Youth Summit 2008.

> Deputy Secretary General Mr. Nikolas LOUTZAKIS, Electrical Engineer, delegate of GAAEC/Youth in Lisbon Youth Summit 2010.

> Mr. Filippos GIANNAKAS, Scientific Advisor of GAAEC/Youth;

Activities:

> In December 2 and 3 2011, parallel to the 20th International Symposium of GAAEC, GAAEC/Youth has organized a special day for youth. More than 150 students from many Universities in Greece took part in a discussion with NATO officials and leaders of the citizens’ society. Also was present YATA with its President Mrs. Kristin Durant, who has described YATA activities.

> For the last 17 years GAAEC/Youth contributes in organizing of IIPES (International Institute for Political and Economic Studies), the biggest Summer University in the Euro Mediterranean area which occurs in Chania, Crete with the cooperation of The Fund for American Studies and Georgetown University. This Summer University brings together 100 students from 30 different countries and gives an opportunity to gain knowledge in the most actual subjects in now days in the international scene. Because this is not an official YATA program, every year GAAEC/Youth integrates one or two NATO days during IIPES. Last year, in 2011, we were honored by the presence of NATO Assistant Secretary General H.E. Ambassador Mrs. Kolinda Grabar- Kitarovic.

> With the cooperation of Aegean University, Rhodes, GAAEC/Youth are organizing a specific Summer School entitled: The Mediterranean Security Environment. Old Threats and New Challenges, which is going to occur in Rhodes, Greece from July 30 to August 6. Find more information here .

> GAAEC/Youth are on the process of launching a special website for open discussions with youth around the World. The name of the site is Transatlantic Youth for 21th Century (www.try21.org).

> Late this year GAAEC/Youth will organize 21th International Symposium of GAAEC and our parallel youth seminar.
